Dear Legion Family,

I'm writing to bring to your attention a wonderful initiative that takes place on the 3rd Sunday of every month. A dedicated group of Legion family members, comprising Veterans, Auxiliary, SAL, and Riders, embark on a Ruck march to the Minneapolis VA to donate food to the VA Food Pantry.

As we continue to support our Veterans through food donations, we have identified a critical need for can openers. Many of the Veterans who receive these donations struggle to open the canned goods without a can opener. To address this issue, our 4th District Auxiliary President, Sandy Gibson, has launched a collection drive for can openers.

We kindly request that you consider purchasing can openers and dropping them off at your local post. Your contribution will make a significant difference in the lives of our Veterans, enabling them to access the food they need. Your support is a testament to the Legion family's commitment to serving those who have served our country.

Please drop off your donated can openers at your local post, and they will be collected and distributed to those in need. Your generosity is appreciated, and we are grateful for your participation in this initiative.
